How to Register

About Phone Schedule

You can use Phone Schedule to automatically schedule the phone on your Windows Mobile device to turn on and off.

Benefits include:

Save the battery on your device by turning off your phone and Bluetooth at night.
Save money by preventing your device connecting to the Internet at unwanted times (for example: sending and receiving email).
Stop unwanted calls in the middle of the night or during meetings.

With its rich, intuitive interface Phone Schedule allows you to select from a number of options, including:

Turn your phone on and off at a scheduled time for each day of the week.
Turn your phone off during Pocket Outlook calendar appointments, depending on the type of meeting (Free, Tentative, Busy or Out-of-Office).
Turn your phone off for a specified length of time or until a certain time is reached.
Include Bluetooth in your schedule.
Optional audio notifications when phone is turned on and off.
Automatically PIN unlock your phone when it turns on.
Program works behind the Windows Mobile password/PIN logon.
One setting for all days allows for single-click configuration for an entire week.
Program waits for connected voice calls to be completed before turning the phone off.
Option to automatically blank the screen during an incoming or outgoing phone call.
Easy to use interface.

Your Windows Mobile device will require Microsoft .NET Compact Framework.

Optional Bluetooth scheduling requires the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (see website for supported device list).

About Phone Schedule

Status Page

This tab displays an overall view of your phone schedule and status. The top half of the screen displays your current phone status as follows:

Phone On
Phone Off

In addition, the following information is displayed in the lower half of the screen:

Schedule - The next date and time that your phone is scheduled to turn on or off
Reason - The reason for the next scheduled phone on/off

Use the 'On' or 'Off' buttons to manually turn your phone on or off.

Unregistered software will also display a nag message at the bottom of this screen showing how may days you have left to evaluate Phone Schedule before you will have to purchase a Registration key.

Schedule Page

This page allows you to set a time for each day of the week for when your phone will turn on and off.

The option 'Use Monday for all days' allows you to set a single on and off time for all days in the week.

Phone Options Page

This page allows you to configure and control your phone options.

The 'PIN Number' box allows you to enter a PIN number to automatically unlock your SIM. Use this option if you usually enter a PIN number to unlock your phone (SIM) when you turn your device on. Leave this box blank if your phone (SIM) does not require a PIN. You can also leave this box blank if you wish to manually enter the PIN number yourself whenever the phone is turned on (the Phone application will appear prompting you for your PIN number).

You may also use 'Temporarily turn phone off' options to manually turn your phone off for a specified amount of time or until a certain time is reached. This option may be useful is you wish to be unavailable for an amount of time (for example: you are entering a meeting, about to start watching a film etc).

Bluetooth Options Page

This page allows you to configure and control your Bluetooth options.

The 'Schedule Bluetooth on and off' option allows you to include Bluetooth in your Schedule. Bluetooth will be turned on and off to the same schedule as your phone. There are also two options that determine whether your Bluetooth will be activated as Connectable or Discoverable when turned on.

Note: Bluetooth scheduling requires the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (see website for supported device list).

Meeting Options Page

This page allows you to configure and control your Meeting options.

Select one or more options on this page to include Pocket Outlook calendar appointments in your Schedule. Your phone will be turned off during meetings that match any of the selected Busy Status types (Free, Tentative, Busy or Out-of-Office).

Advanced Options Page

This page allows for a number of different options to be set as follows:

Screen off during phone calls - This option blanks the screen during an incoming or outgoing phone call. This option is selected by default.
Disable audio notifications - This option disables the two audio notifications for phone on or off. This option is not selected by default.
Allow operating system to close program - This option allows the operating system to close the program without prompting you. This option is not selected by default.
Minimize program after soft-reset - This option causes Phone Schedule to minimize when starting after you have soft-reset your device. This option is not selected by default.

Command Line Switches

A number of command line switches exist for controlling the behaviour of Phone Schedule when the program starts.

Usage:

mPhoneSchedule [m | n | f | l | x]

Where:

m - Minimize after start-up
n - Turn phone on after start-up
f - Turn phone off after start-up
l - Log all actions to a TXT file (\Program Files\mPhoneSchedule\logfile.txt)
x - Exit after start-up (after preceding switches have been executed)

Switches can be combined together (for example: mPhoneSchedule n x will turn the phone on then exit).

Tip: Copy and edit the LNK file installed in your device's \Windows\StartUp folder.

Today Screen Icon

Phone Schedule displays an icon on your Today screen. This icon can be clicked to maximize Phone Schedule.

Registration

You can trial Phone Schedule for free for 15-days from when it is first activated. To continue using Phone Schedule you will need to purchase a registration key.
