GALSync Server is a powerful, multi-threaded .NET Windows Service designed for Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server. GALSync Server synchronises your Global Address List (GAL) with your users' mobile devices, pushing a complete up-to-date copy of the GAL directly to their devices.

Features:

  • No user intervention required. Synchronisation of your Global Address List to each user's device occurs automatically.
  • Global Address List automatically pushed out to devices (requires ActiveSync or equivalent over-the-air contacts synchronisation).
  • Incoming phone-calls to your users' devices are automatically alpha-tagged with names downloaded from your Global Address List.
  • Email addresses and phone numbers can be quickly located by users without the need for an over-the-air data connection.
  • Regular synchronisation ensures that changes to your Global Address List are pushed out to your users' mobile devices.
  • Additional Global Address List information such as addresses and notes can also be synchronised with your users' mobile devices.

  • Users can work more efficiently, spending less time locating the contact information they need.
  • Users can access the entire contents of the Global Address List, even when they don't have access to an over-the-air network connection.
  • Users access automatically up-to-date contact information without the need to check for updates.

GALSync Server works by synchronising a copy of your Global Address List to the Contacts folder in each user's Outlook mailbox. ActiveSync (or an is then used (either via the cradle or over-the-air) to synchronise contact information to each device with little or no intervention from the user.

Product Roadmap

Currently our roadmap includes:

  • Add an option (default is turned on) that if a sync is stopped halfway through then re-start the sync from the last user being sync'ed.
  • Add the following fields to filtering: OU, Telephone, Given Name, SN.
  • Improved synchronisation speed.

Support & Maintenance

All of our enterprise licences include 12 months free support and maintenance from point of purchase. Near the end of this period you can purchase a further 12-months support and maintenance at a cost of 30% of the current retail cost of the equivalent product as long as you renew within your current support and maintenance period.

If you proceed with purchasing an enterprise licence then you will receive a reminder to extend your support contract 11-months from point of purchase. You will have 30-days to notify us that you wish to extend your support contract (and supply us with the relevant purchase order number). If you fail to notify us that you wish to extend your contract then your current contract will be cancelled, and should you subsequently wish to extend your contract you will have to purchase a full price copy of the software.
